A typographic reinterpretation of This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, this project explores how layout, rhythm, and visual contrast can echo the emotional journey of a song. Drawing from personal experiences of self-doubt during the college application process, the book transforms typography into a medium for self-acceptance and quiet defiance.
Through expressive layouts, custom type treatments, and symbolic imagery—including recurring mushrooms that represent quiet resilience and the desire to be seen—the book bridges lyrical power with visual storytelling. Typeface: Franklin Gothic, chosen for its bold, no-nonsense character and its historical resonance with the song’s message.
